A b o u t
I am a lifestyle and portrait photographer with a photojournalism background. Consequently, the narrative and documentary style is a big influence and fundamental in my shooting style. I am curious about people and drawn to photographing them in their own landscape, whether the natural or the built environment. I find fascination in stories about the environment, equality, society, sustainability, the arts as well as the charity sector and supply chains. Collaboration is at the heart of my work to create impactful and memorable images to reflect the story behind the brand.
I grew up on Kimito Island in the Southwest Archipelago in Finland and I continuously draw inspiration from my Nordic heritage of simplistic and minimalistic aesthetic values. This also lends to the fascination with the human interconnectedness with nature which is often apparent in my work, whether it is a personal project, collaboration or a commission.
I am based at The Old Waterworks Studios, Southend on Sea and happy to do studio visits.
